Greta has it all. She has never forgotten her lineage from the great cats of ancient Egypt. So it’s no wonder she was chosen as Team Captain of Cookie’s Place, A Happy Home for Feline Leukemia Cats.  Her journey to Shadow Cats was arduous, but now she uses her intellect and attributes to champion the rights and health of all felines. Greta and her team tirelessly advocate for essential health care and early spay/neuter, striving to be a powerful voice for every cat. Where others might falter, Cookie’s Place will lead with compassion and resilience.

 

Greta and the Cookie’s Place team are committed to standing up for cats considered “less than”. But to keep doing what we do, we need your help. Your donation to Cookie’s Place goes directly toward providing supportive medical care and daily living needs to cats like me and my team. About the Event

Shadow Cats on Parade is a major fundraising event at Shadow Cats. The purpose is to raise critical funds for the special needs and hospice cats at the Sanctuary in a fun and entertaining way. 

The cats at Shadow Cats live in five different areas of the Sanctuary. (Cookie’s Place, Cookie’s Annex, Harmony, Wild Side and Oasis) Each area and the cats within that area are engaging in a ‘mostly’ friendly competition going head-to-head to raise crucial funds. Each room has its own team captain and mission, and they’re all working hard to be named “Best of the Best!”.   The cat area that raises the most wins their very own Kitty Party, complete with treats and toys and they get bragging rights!  Read more about each area by clicking on each room.

Your donations to any given room helps that area to win!  All donations provide medical care, daily necessities, and the support these special cats need to thrive throughout the Sanctuary.

So which kitty is it?  Pick your favorite, get in their corner, make a donation, and cheer them on as they work to be the top team at the Sanctuary!

I am fundraising for Team Greta and Cookie's Place in honor of my own beloved FeLV+ cat, Cookie Princess Warrior who crossed in 2009.  It is because of her and the awareness and education she brought to this condition, that Cookie's Place and our passion for the Felvies exists.  Every cat who passes through these doors is because of what we learned from Cookie Princess Warrior.  
Rest in peace sweet girl.  You did good. 

So please help me raise funds for Team Greta and Cookie's Place and help us continue to be a safe harbor for cats in need at Shadow Cats.

THE PARTY IS AT COOKIE’S. 

The Cookie’s gang is raising money to show the world that Cookie’s Place is the most awesome housing area at Shadow Cats  Funds raised go towards the Shadow Cats’ mission of helping cats in need.

Cookie’s is where most of the sanctuary population lives due to their FeLV status. FeLV is a deadly & highly contagious disease for which there is no cure  Cats diagnosed with FeLV are euthanized at a high rate because there are limited resources for these cats  Shadow Cats sanctuary is one of the few resources in Texas where FeLV cats can live their best lives  Here they are loved and cared for until the day they cross the rainbow bridge.

Greta, the team captain, has been at the sanctuary since she was a kitten. It’s because of the work done by Shadow Cats that I can say that I’ve known Greta since she was a kitten and have been blessed to watch her grow into the gorgeous gal she is today. Every day with the cats in Cookie’s is a blessing. They are as healthy as they can be until the day they aren’t. You really understand how precious life is when you know their health could take a sudden downturn at any moment.
